Although the risk of corruption or data loss when converting from FAT to NTFS is minimal, it is preferable to perform a full backup data on disk to be converted before the conversion command. It is also recommended to check the integrity of the backup before proceeding, as well as run RDISK and update the repair disk (ERD).
